WELCOME TO SCHIMO!

We are located about 40 minutes drive south-east of Oslo, at a small place called Spydeberg.

We got our first newfoundland in 1981, and our second female came to us in 1982. This female, "Nuffi", started our breed, we got our kennel name in 1985 and had our first litter in 1986.

We was lucky, we came in contact with breeders who had a long experience with the breed.
We don't regret that we was a little bit humble when we started with breeding. We still has a extreme humility to the breed and big respect to other breeders.

Now we are proudly of what we have accomplished! Each generation has been a stepping stone
to improve on the past.

Our goal is to breed typey and healthy Newfoundlands. Our breeding philosophy is
to demand high standard for the dogs we breed. When we do a combination we really want, from the heart, to keep a puppy ourself from the litter. Many of our Newfs are in pet homes and will never see a show- or obedience ring, but be loving companions.

In the show ring we have had a lot of very good experiences. Numerous of group and BIS-placements, in all breed national- and international exhibitions, as well as in speciality shows.

We have been the mostwinnging breeder i Norway for several years: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007!!

The dogs are a true assets to our lives.
